THE NEAT REVIEW

Each issue of THE NEAT REVIEW is set in a different city around the world. Many of our contributors are professional magicians, while others are painters, photographers, cognitive psychologists, doctors, writers, farmers, hackers, and so on.

Through interviews, essays and articles, we explore how sleight-of-hand can be applied to the broader landscapes of the arts, philosophy and technology.

And, of course, we learn plenty of card tricks along the way.

THE NEAT REVIEW began as an irregular photo journal exploring the kinship between magic, sleight-of-hand and art. Each Review took us to a different city around the world, traveling with an old Leica film camera, capturing unpublished interviews, essays and effects from the world's eminent magic performers and thinkers. Some completely unknown, some embarrassingly famous. With the journal as a foundation, THE NEAT REVIEW now also serves as a dedicated imprint, curating a library of experiential magic books and objects.
